Here’s the thing about getting shoes dry fast—you need serious heat in a small space. That’s why we built this shoe dryer heater around a 400V, 2500W halogen infrared tube, 300mm long. It’s a tight fit, but it’s the only way to pack enough punch to evaporate moisture quickly without taking up a ton of room. Running at 400V also keeps the current lower, which makes the wiring simpler and cuts down on voltage drop, even over longer runs. And that 300mm length? It’s the sweet spot that lines up with standard shoe-booth heater zones, so you can swap it in without reworking the whole chamber.
The Build: Tough Tube, Smart Base
Inside, you’ve got a quartz tube with a halogen fill. It’s made to handle rapid on-off cycles without punishing the filament. The halogen cycle keeps the element stable at high temps, so output stays consistent over time. We also added an external coating to shield the quartz from contamination and help manage the stress of repeated heat-ups. And for the connection, we went with an R7s ceramic bi-pin base. It’s proven, handles the wattage, holds alignment, and makes replacements easy—no tools, no fuss.
